Lampedusa Coast & Hidden Coves — Boat Day Tour

Discover Lampedusa's turquoise bays and dramatic coastline on a boat day tour from the harbour, with swimming where marine protection rules and sea conditions permit.

Highlights

  • Lampedusa's Clear-Water Coves
  • Protected Marine Landscapes
  • Swimming When Permitted

Overview

Discover Lampedusa from the sea on a day excursion along the island's limestone coastline. Board an authorised local excursion vessel at Lampedusa harbour and cruise towards selected bays, rocky coves and turquoise waters, with the route determined by the captain and the rules of the Isole Pelagie Marine Protected Area. Depending on sea state, you may enjoy views towards the sheltered southern coastline and areas near Cala Pulcino or Tabaccara while remaining outside zones where navigation, bathing or anchoring is prohibited. Swimming stops are possible only in authorised locations identified by the crew. This is not a guaranteed full circumnavigation, and it does not include landing on the protected Rabbit Beach or navigating into restricted waters around Isola dei Conigli. Food service and exclusive vessel charter are not presumed included. The exact itinerary, licensed capacity and available season will be agreed with a local provider before the product is sold.

Lampedusa's beauty is inseparable from the fragility of its marine environment. Coastal routes should therefore be chosen to protect sensitive habitats, especially near the regulated waters surrounding Isola dei Conigli. The excursion is designed around the bays safely available on the day, rather than promising a full circuit or access to protected beaches. The local crew's knowledge of currents, wind and environmental restrictions is an essential part of the service.

Insider tip
The clearest-water bays are affected by wind direction, so trust the captain's choice of route. Swimming near protected zones is not always allowed. Isola dei Conigli is best understood as protected nature, not a guaranteed boat landing.
Accessibility
Pier boarding, moving vessels and gangways may be difficult for guests with reduced mobility; suitability depends on the chosen boat and must be confirmed before booking.
What to bring
Non-slip shoes, swimwear and towel, sun protection, a windproof layer, drinking water, personal medication, payment method and waterproof phone protection.
Important information
Approximately seven-hour boat day, seasonal and weather-dependent. Boat capacity and booking of 2–14 seats require operator confirmation. No exclusive charter, onboard meal or complete circumnavigation is promised by default. Requested participant range: 2–14, subject to certified vessel capacity or venue capacity when applicable. All services require final supplier and date confirmation.
